Major game updates or graphics engine upgrades may leave behind out-of-date data in your system's GPU cache which can sometimes conflict with new game files. In some circumstances, these old shaders may negatively affect your in-game visuals.
Removing these cached shader files forces your system to clear out the old data. Your game client will automatically redownload and rebuild fresh, compatible shader files the next time you launch the game.
Follow the steps below based on your graphics card manufacturer (Nvidia or AMD) to safely clear your shader cache.
