We want every player to experience the true depth of Pax Dei before making a commitment. To make this as easy as possible, we have introduced a Free Trial option on Steam! 

Every Steam user can install the game and try it completely free for a limited period of time. You can play unrestricted for 7 days from the moment you activate and jump in.

To join, simply head to the Pax Dei store page on Steam, look for the Demo section, hit install, and begin your adventure!

The trial grants you full, uncompromised access to the entire Pax Dei experience for 7 days. There are absolutely no gameplay artificial walls. During your trial, you can:

• Explore the world freely: Wander across our massive open world, discover breathtaking vistas, and navigate its secrets.
• Build your own home: Claim a piece of the world! As part of the trial, you will receive a temporary Plot Slot to claim land and establish your own custom homestead.
• Craft and gather resources: Chop trees, mine ores, and utilize hundreds of crafting recipes to forge tools, clothes, weapons, and armor.
• Join a Clan & Trade: Immerse yourself in the social fabric of the game. Cooperate with friends, build massive villages together, or trade your wares with other players.
• Participate in PvE and PvP: Take on dangerous mythical creatures in the wilderness, or head to the high-stakes Lyonesse zone for intense PvP combat.
• Progress without restrictions: Level up your skills and develop your character naturally.

Yes, absolutely! Pax Dei is best enjoyed together. While creating your avatar, just make sure you select the same region, shard, and starting location where your friends are already playing. Once you load in, you can connect with them right away, team up, and immediately start collaborating towards your shared growth!

When your trial period expires, your free access to the game comes to an end. In your Steam library, the "Play" button will simply become unavailable, and it will be replaced by a standard purchase option so you can easily unlock the full game when you're ready.

• Your Character & Progress: Your character data and skill progression remain safely stored on our servers.
• Your Plot of land: To keep the world active, your temporary Plot will remain reserved for a 3-day grace period after your trial ends. Learn more about Plot statuses here.
• The Redeeming Queue: If you won't decide to purchase the game, your plot will be released back into the world for other players. However, you don't lose your belongings! All items, structures, and materials placed or stored on that plot will automatically transfer to your personal Redeeming Queue. We’ve got you covered! As soon as you log in, you will receive an in-game notification welcoming you to our wonderful community. To help you manage your adventure, you will also receive an in-game expiration alert if you log into the game when there are less than 24 hours remaining until your trial ends.

Absolutely not!All of your avatar progress and skills will be safely saved, so you won't lose your hard work.

However, please keep in mind that if your trial has already expired before you purchase Pax Dei, your plot of land may be frozen.
If more than 3 days pass, your plot will be released, and all the items and materials stored on it will be safely moved to your personal Redeeming Queue so you can recover them later and rebuild!

Yes, you are always welcome back! If you aren't ready to purchase the game just yet but want to see how the world of Pax Dei evolves after new updates and features drop, you are more than welcome to come try it again 3 months after your previous trial ended. We would love to show you how the world has grown!
