- Choose the Right Server:
- Playing on a server closer to your geographical location can decrease latency. Check your game settings to ensure you're connected to the optimal server.
- Optimize In-Game Settings:
- Lowering certain graphics settings can reduce the strain on your system, potentially improving performance.
- Update Network Drivers:
- Ensure your network drivers are up-to-date to maintain optimal connectivity.
- Restart Your Router and Modem:
- Regularly restarting your network hardware can resolve potential connectivity issues.
- Enable Quality of Service (QoS) on Your Router:
- QoS settings can prioritize gaming traffic, potentially reducing lag.
- Reboot Your Home Internet Router/Wi-Fi Base Station:
- Unplug your router or Wi-Fi base station from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and wait for it to fully restart.
- This can resolve many connectivity-related issues.
Network Configuration
- Check DNS Settings:
- Ensure your DNS settings are set to automatic, or try manually setting them to a public DNS server (such as 8.8.8.8) to rule out any network-related issues.
