Characters
What will happen to my existing characters?
Your character will keep their name and appearance, but when logging in for the first time:
- They’ll be “naked” as if they were a newly created character.
- They won’t be part of a clan anymore.
- They’ll need to choose a new name if their initial name is already taken, as it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Their combat skills will be reset, while their crafting skills remain the same.
All compensated materials will be available in your redeeming queue, except for items that have been removed from the game with this content update.
You will need to recreate your clan and invite all members again.
Can I choose to move my character to another region?
You can only pick a shard from the same region that character was initially created on. For example, if your character was previously on an EU shard, you can only pick the new EU shard to keep playing that character on.
Is it possible to change my character’s appearance after the wipe?
We do not offer this option (yet). If you wish to change your character’s appearance, you’ll need to create a brand new character.
Is my character name reset?
You’ll need to choose a new name if their initial name is already taken, as it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The name I wanted is already in use, but I’m pretty sure I was the first one to come up with that name, as it’s my own name/the same name I use for every game. Can you please assist and rename the other player instead?
While we understand your attachment to your unique name, we unfortunately cannot assist. The other player was the first one to choose this name, and we cannot rename them. We’re pretty sure you’ll come up with another cool name for your character, though!
If I prefer to create a new character, can I still get the resources and gear from my previous plot(s) and character(s) back?
Yes! The stash is shared across all characters from a single region (EU/NA/SEA) - existing or new.
Even if I have to delete an existing character to free up a slot and make a new one?
Yes! The stash is attached to your account, not a specific character. Once maintenance is over, you can delete a former character to create a new one - it won’t affect the stash and you will still be able to access it. Your existing character will be gone for good though, so make sure that’s what you really want.
Will my character keep the same home shrine?
The whole world will be reshuffled, and you’ll have to place a plot in a new location - as such, your home shrine will not be the same.
Clans
What happens to our clan?
All clan information will be erased with the wipe - names, organization and membership. If you want to keep playing together, you’ll have to either recreate your clan or create a new clan on a new shard. We recommend that you liaise with your clan members to decide together on your new destination. Upcoming shard names are listed at the top of this FAQ.
Is our clan name reset?
Yes, your clan name is being reset, and you’ll need to recreate a clan from scratch on the new shard.
Our clan name is already used on our new shard, can you help?
While we understand your attachment to your unique clan name, we unfortunately cannot assist. Clan names are decided on a first come, first serve basis, and that other clan was the first one to pick the name. But you can always work with your clan to make a new and even better name.
Just make sure to inform your clan members of the change, so they don’t apply to the wrong clan.
Are characters removed from clans? Do they have to reapply?
Yes, the whole clan structure is being wiped - this includes membership. Your current clanmates will need to reapply to the new clan, so make sure to inform your members of where you’re going. Note that this is also a good opportunity to recruit new members (or to get rid of a few people discreetly ^^).
Our clan alderman never came back - what do we do?
You don’t need your clan alderman to create a clan on the new shard you’ve chosen. Just make sure that you discuss this with your clan members, to ensure you all end up on the same shard.
How can I know in advance what shard my clan members will choose? Will I get a notification in game, or do I have to actually talk to them ? (I don’t want to talk to them, I’m too shy!)
You will not know on which new shard your clan has decided to settle unless you talk with them. You can either poke them in-game before the wipe or on the platforms your clan usually uses to communicate.
