What happens to the shards and maps as we know them?
All current shards will be deleted. A new set of shards will be available after the update.
At the same time, we’re also changing the geography of the game. You’ll have a new world to explore, with new distribution of biomes & resources, as well as new PvE sites to discover.
How are the new shards named?
The new shards are:
-
EU region
- Mimir
- Artemis - RP
-
NA Region
- Apollo
- Nyx - RP
-
SEA Region
-
Nuadu
-
Nuadu
Can I move to a new region?
You can create a new character in any region - within the limit of your account’s Character Slots. You will not be able to move your existing characters to a new region, however - characters are bound to the region where they were initially created. See below for more details about characters.
Which shard can I choose to go on? If I was playing on an RP shard, do I have to choose the RP one again?
You will be able to pick any shard available in the region where your character has been created initially, regardless of the RP tag.
Are Home Valleys and Provinces changing too?
Home Valleys and Provinces keep the same names and the location of the Home Valleys within the Province did not change. However, the borders of some Home Valleys have changed to fit the new landscape, and there are more roads and more paths between the Wildlands and the Valleys to prevent potential blockades. Finally, the distribution of resources and biomes, as well as the biomes’ names, has changed to improve the difficulty progression.
Can we already have a glimpse at the new world map?
You’ll find the new maps here: https://playpaxdei.com/en-us/media/player-resources/pax-dei-full-map-ea
What will happen to our existing Discord Shard Roles & Channels?
You can already access the Discord channels for the upcoming shards and choose a role. As for the channels and roles of the former shards, they will be removed one week after the deployment of the content update, on November 12. This should give you ample time to arrange yourself with your clan mates and friends, and decide where you want to go.
