Early Access Purchase - All you need to know

Important: Early Access to the game is exclusively available to those who have purchased a Founder's Pack! Early Access starts on June 18th!

Here are the most frequent questions you may have related to Founder's Pack purchases

How to get access to my Founder's Pack:

• If you want to purchase a Founder's Pack, you can either
  • Directly buy it from our playPaxDei
  • Or buy it through Steam

Important note during the prepurchase period:

• If you bought a Steam key, you will receive an email from Xsolla with the Steam key on June 18th
• If you bought a Launcher key, your account is immediately flagged, and you will receive an email from Xsolla with the instructions to download the launcher on June 18th - but you can already follow the steps in our dedicated article 

If you have purchased a Founder's Pack, first of all, thank you for your support!

• If you purchase it directly on our website:
  • If you pre-purchase the game to be used with our launcher - you have to follow a few steps here 
  • If you purchase the game and pick a Steam key: 
    • Select the Steam key generated when you made your purchase
    • Follow the few steps here 
• If you bought it directly on our website, with a distribution on our launcher, you can now install and play Pax Dei. You'll find the few steps here 
• If you bought it on Steam, our game will be available in your library. 

Depending on the Pack they opt for, Founders will be granted several additional crafting recipes in-game. The items unlocked by these recipes are mainly cosmetic. They don’t offer specific gameplay advantages. These recipes can be used an unlimited number of times (with the required material), and the resulting items behave like any other similar in-game item.

These recipes are exclusive to Founders. Players joining after the full release of Pax Dei won’t have access to these options.

Recipes

Purchasing a Founder's Pack will give you access to exclusive recipes.

Whatever Founder's Pack you bought, all the recipes will be immediately available in the game.

That being said, crafting them won't be free.

• Founders Outfit: 

  • You will need to build the Founder Crafting Table first
  • This dedicated workbench can be found with the other crafting stations:
    • Equip the Construction Hammer;
    • Open the building menu with a right-click;
    • Click on the Crafting Tab; the Founder Crafting Table is displayed in its own category, Founder's Pack;
    • Once you have built the Founder Crafting Table, click on it, and you will see all the recipes listed;
    • Even if they need different skills to be crafted, they are all straightforward, and the materials are pretty easy to gather.

• Hunter's Lodge:

  • Same as for the Founders Outfit, all the recipes can be found on the Founder Crafting Table;
  • That being said, they are props (decoration items), and they work a bit differently than the wearables:
    • You need first to craft them on the table;
    • They will then appear in your inventory;
    • The items in your inventory can't be placed on your plot, but they can be given - or traded - to someone else;
    • Now, equip your Construction Hammer and open the Building menu with a right-click;
    • Click on the Props tab at the top;
    • All the items from the Hunters pack are displayed in the Founder's pack section;
    • Select the icon corresponding to the Prop you just crafted or any other one present in your inventory;
    • You can now place your Prop on your plot!
    • As for the Founders Outfit, they all are easy to craft.

• Wyvern Building Set:

  • This set contains two types of recipes:
    • The Windvane and the Sconce are decoration items (props) to be placed on a plot;
    • The different beams and the pillars are Construction pieces.
  • To craft and place the Windvane and the Sconce, follow the same steps as for the Hunter's Lodge above;
  • To craft and place the beams and pillars:
    • Equip your Construction Hammer;
    • Open the Building menu with a right-click;
    • Click on the Construction tab;
    • You will find all the exclusive construction pieces in the category Founder's pack;
    • Click on the item you want. If you have the materials in your inventory, you can place the piece immediately—crafting and placing are done at the same time for Construction pieces.
      
      

• The Gallian Gargoyle:

  • If you bought a Founder's pack from our website, you have another exclusive recipe, the Gallian Gargoyle.
  • The Gallian Gargoyle is a prop; as for the ones from the Hunters Lodge or the Wyvern Building Set, it is available on the Founder Crafting Table, and you will need to equip the Hammer and select the Props tab on the Building menu to place it on a plot.

Founder's Discord Channels

To gain the Founder role on our Discord and access to the dedicated Founder's Channels, you will need to link your Pax Dei account to your Discord account.

Important note: if you buy a Steam key, the role will only be given once you have logged in to the game for the first time, so not before June 18th. Don't worry, the dedicated channel won't be opened before this date.

If you buy a launcher key, you should receive the role within the hour after your purchase or after linking your Pax Dei account with your Discord account - most of the time, it takes less than 10 minutes.

To link your Discord account, please follow these few steps:

• Go to the account.playpaxdei.com website
• Connect to the Account Management
• Visit the "Linked Accounts" section
• Click on "Link" next to the Discord icon 

Important note: We will never get your credentials from any of the steps below. The authentication flow happens on the provider side.

A new window will open:

• If you were not already authenticated you will be prompted to authenticate with Discord. (If you were already authenticated, the flow will automatically jump to the next point)
• You will be prompted to grant permission to share some information from this provider with us
  Click on "Accept" or "Yes"

Your account is now linked to Discord! 

Questions about my Founder's Pack purchase:

Number of Purchases & Upgrades:

If you already purchased your Founder's Pack, please note that you can only buy one.

It also means you cannot give Pax Dei to your friends. 

However, if you purchased a Journeyman Pack or Artisan Pack, you will be able to upgrade your pack when the Early Access starts on June 18th.

• If you have the game on Steam, you will have to buy the upgrade on Steam (no matter where you purchased your former pack);
• If you have the game on our launcher, you will have to buy the upgrade on playPaxDei. We advise you to log in to your account; it will update the early access page to display the available upgrades for your account.

Please note that you won't be able to upgrade your pack if you have already purchased the Master pack.

Important notes: 

• You can't upgrade your pack if you have already purchased the Master pack.
• On Steam, if you purchase the Journeyman pack, you will need to buy two upgrades: one Artisan and one Master to have all the recipes and the 4 plots.
• As for now, it is possible to buy only the Master upgrade while owning the Journeyman pack (base) without purchasing the Artisan pack. In that situation, you will have 3 plots, and you won't have the recipes from the Artisan pack (but you can still purchase if you want everything).

I purchased a Founder’s Pack, where do I find my bonus recipe (Gallian Gargoyle recipe)?

• Did you purchase a Founder’s Pack directly from playPaxDei.com? Here is how to get your bonus Gallian Gargoyle recipe.
  • If you bought the game for the Pax Dei launcher: that recipe has been added to your list of Founder’s recipes.
  • If you bought a Steam key, you’ll have to link your Pax Dei account with your Steam account. Of course, it means the Pax Dei account you purchased from and the Steam account to which you added the key. Once done, the recipe will appear alongside your other Founder’s recipes as soon as you log into the game - quit and restart the game if you linked while in-game.
